Pro Shop Construction
You may have noticed changes taking place in the Pro Shop. Remodeling is currently taking place. Thanks to those members who are making this possible! The benefits of this will be enjoyed for many years.
Bonnie Crest appreciates the willingness of its members to help improve our facilities. Hopefully, this will make the Pro Shop more inviting for current members and for members yet to join. |

SUBJECT MATTER:
Men’s and Women’s Invitational
Note the change of date for our Invitational Golf Tournament to June 7 and 8. We have not had an Invitational for a few years. So, we are attempting to revive the great tradition that Bonnie Crest had with this golf tournament in the past.
It is essential that every golfing member participate in this event. Not only do we need your participation in the tournament, but we also need your help with hole sponsorship to offset our expenses. We will be offering hole sponsorships for $100. We need at least 27 sponsorships. Contact Ronnie Sexton or Lee
Burt if you want to help make this weekend a smashing success!
The Rule Rules!
Rule 23. Loose Impediments
23-1. Relief
Except when both the loose impediment and the ball lie in or touch the same hazard, any loose impediment may be removed without penalty.
If the ball lies anywhere other than on the putting green and the removal of a loose impediment by the player causes the ball to move, Rule 18-2a applies.
On the putting green, if the ball or ball-marker is accidentally moved in the process of removing a loose impediment, the ball or ball-marker must be replaced. There is no penalty, provided the movement of the ball or ball-marker is directly attributable to the removal of the loose impediment. Otherwise, if the player causes the ball to move, he incurs a penalty of one stroke under Rule 18-2a.
When a ball is in motion, a loose impediment that might influence the movement of the ball must not be removed.
Note: If the ball lies in a hazard, the player must not touch or move any loose impediment lying in or touching the same hazard – see Rule 13-4c.
PENALTY FOR BREACH OF RULE:
Match play – Loss of hole;
Stroke play – Two strokes. |
